Q:
Are you in network with my insurance?
A:
We are in network with a variety of carriers and the list is subject to change. It is your responsibility to verify that the doctor you are scheduled with is in your network.
Additionally, while we do submit claims and accept payments as out of network providers with all carriers, it is your responsibility to make sure your plan design offers out of network benefits.
Plans we are in network with are Delta Dental PPO plus Premier, Blue Cross Blue Shield Indemnity and PPO plans, Altus, Cigna some plan designs, and United Healthcare some plan designs. Not all of our doctors are in the same networks or plans so be sure to verify the information with your carrier.
While we do our best to inform you when we discover your plan is out of network with us we cannot be responsible for any claims denied for out of network reasons.
Q:
Do you accept Mass Health?
A:
We do not accept Mass Health at this time. We recommend you contact Mass Health for a list of providers.
Q:
Do you bill my dental insurance?
A:
Dental insurance is a contract between the patient, their employer (if applicable) and/or the insurance provider.
Submitting claims for payment to the insurance provider is a courtesy provided by the dentist, not an obligation, we are happy to file the claims on your behalf.
Estimates and treatment plans are based upon information gained from the examination. As with any dental treatment, there may be unforeseen treatment adjustments and/or complications. This is a preliminary estimate only and lab charges (if applicable) have been estimated and included total.
Estimates do not take into consideration any money that was billed toward your financial maximum or treatment limits that may have been used at other dental clinics.
Ultimately, you are responsible for any treatment that is unpaid by the insurance provider. Please be assured that we will do our best to see that you receive the full benefit of your policy: however, we cannot guarantee any estimated coverage or payment is final until the claim is processed by your carrier.
Q:
I paid my copay why do I owe more money?
A:
There is nothing more frustrating than getting a bill after making an in-office payment. We make every effort to obtain correct estimated copay amounts from your carrier. Unfortunately, carriers do not provide us with definitive costs, and there are a few factors that impact the final copay amount. For example your maximum allowance is less than it was on the day of treatment, or policy language that is only applied by the carrier when processing your dental claim that can create a credit or balance. Most of the time we collect exactly what is owed.
